Peanut Season is Coming!

Alabama Federal-State Inspection Service, will soon be taking applications and interviewing for seasonal positions that will be available during the upcoming Peanut Season.  Our division under the Alabama Department of Agriculture is responsible for inspecting peanuts that are brought in to various buying points across south Alabama.  Each year we hire temporary employees to assist us with the inspection process.  We provide paid training for all seasonal employees.  All applicants must be available to work (15) hours a day, seven days a week.  Work will begin around the middle of September and will last for one to two months.  All applicants will that are hired will be E-Verified.  Click on the “Calendar” tab to see all dates and locations.  You can attend any interview session but if hired, you will be placed at the location nearest your home.

Available Positions:

* Produce Inspector – $11.54 per hour

Laborer-Sampler      – $ 9.70 per hour

* (GED or High School Diploma and a valid Drivers License required for Produce Inspector Position)
